Rollover Prevention Presentation
In addition to the personal tragedy of death
and serious injury that can occur when a truck rolls, the resulting loss of
goods, vehicle damage and supply chain disruption costs business and the economy
millions of dollars.
On average, a truck rolls over every two to three days on New Zealand roads.
It’s not a simple fix as truck rollovers happen for a number of reasons, so we need to take a comprehensive approach. To do this we’re embarking on a programme to help bring the truck rollover crash rate down, and keep it down.
The programme is a joint initiative with the NZ Transport Agency, Road Transport Forum, ACC and Police.
