Kamo Bypass work to go ahead this weekend

Motorists are advised to allow plenty of time for their journey due to the closure of the Kamo Bypass (SH1) through Whangarei this weekend.

The bypass will be closed to all traffic from 6pm Friday 4 March until 6am Monday 7 March so work can be carried out to create a smoother journey for vehicles travelling over the railway lines.

There will be no vehicle access to the Bypass during that period and barriers will be in place at all intersections with the bypass. Traffic from the State Highway will be diverted via Kamo Road and Great North Road.
