Pokeno ramp work closure update
South-bound on-ramp from Pokeno to SH1
We will return tonight and complete the asphalting of this ramp, with the closure in place from 8.30pm. We hope to complete this ramp by 2am.
North-bound off-ramp from SH1 to Pokeno
Tonight, after completing the asphalting of the south-bound on-ramp we will establish ourselves at the north-bound off-ramp (from SH1 to Pokeno).
If we cannot complete this ramp in one shift, we will return, weather dependent, Sunday night.
Work hours
Crews will be on site from 6pm each night to set up traffic control, with ramp closures between 8:30pm and 5:00am.
Heavy transport operators
If you use the Z Pokeno truck stop to refuel, please plan to allow additional distance and time to your journey.
Work will be dependent on weather and resources. A travel alert has been issued, however this may cancelled at late notice. Please check the NZTA travel website from 6pm each night..
