Alternate Route facilities - Boyle River Cell phone coverage and Emergency Phone

Some good news to pass onto your colleagues that may drive this route. Some pictures attached.

We have installed cellphone coverage at the Boyle River Outdoor Education DOC site as of last week.

• We have installed a micro cell site supplying Vodafone and Spark cellphone coverage - people need to pull off the road and into the rest area to access the cellphone coverage and facilities.
• An emergency phone has also been installed - this can dial the NZ Transport Highway Call Center and 111 - 24/7.
• A Street light has also been installed to provide light at nighttime.
• Two additional picnic tables will be supplied in this area in the coming week.
• The area is also serviced by a toilet.
• Advanced signage is going to be installed to the area in the coming weeks to advertise the pull off area.
