SH5 Napier – Taupō: Progress continues at a number of slip sites at the Hawke’s Bay end of SH5. Stop/go traffic management is in place at various sites, along with temporary speed limits. The road is expected to be reinstated to two lanes throughout by Christmas
SH 2 9km south of Muriwai
Due to Passing Opportunities Project works, there will be Stop/Go traffic management and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place on Monday to Saturday between 6:30am to 6:30pm for approximately seven weeks. Plan your journey accordingly and expect up to 15 minute delays travelling through this area during these times.
SH 5 Tarawera to Eskdale
Due to bridge, slip and pothole repair works, there will be various traffic management with speed restrictions along this route. Road users are advised to take extra and expect delays. Plan your journey accordingly allowing extra time for your travel. Please note these works are weather dependent and may be postponed at short notice.
SH 2 Mohaka
Due road construction works, there will be Stop/Go traffic management with a 30km/h speed restriction in place on Monday to Saturdays from Friday 10th November to Friday 22nd December between 7:30am and 5pm. Plan your journey accordingly allowing extra time for your travel. Please note these works are weather dependent and may be postponed at short notice.
SH 2 Hastings, between the intersections of Omahu Road and York Road
Due to road maintenance works, this section of road will be closed in both directions on Sunday 26th November night between 8pm and 4am. Plan your journey allowing extra time for travel. Please note these works are dependent on various factors and may be postponed at short notice.
Detour: Light vehicle detour via Omahu Road, Maraekakaho Road and York Road. Heavy vehicle detour via Omahu Road, Stoneycroft Street, Orchard Road, Maraekakaho Road and York Road.
SH 3 Lake Alice, between the intersections of Makirikiri Road and Pukepapa Road
Due to resurfacing works near Duddings Lake Road, this section of road is closed to southbound traffic on weekdays between 6am and 6pm. Plan your journey accordingly allowing extra time for travel.
Detour: Southbound traffic, turn left on to Makirikiri Road, right on to Pukepapa Road and left back on to SH3
SH 2 Norsewood
Due to bridge works, there will be Stop/Go traffic management with a 30km/h speed restriction in place on Tuesday 28th November and Wednesday 29th November between 8am and 5pm. Plan your journey accordingly allowing extra time for your travel. Please note these works are weather dependent and may be postponed at short notice.
SH 2 Eketahuna, between the intersections of Macara Street and Church Street
Due to a Christmas Event, this section of road will be closed in both directions and there will be a Stop/Go with a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place at intersection of SH1 and SH3 on Saturday 2nd December between 8:30am and 12:30pm. Plan your journey accordingly allowing extra time for travel.
