Fire Service Levy Consultation

The New Zealand Fire Service Commission Board is consulting on the rates of levy on fire insurance contracts and on Fire and Emergency New Zealand’s (FENZ’s) proposed activities for the 2017/18 financial year.

•why levy changes are required to support a new fire and emergency service;

•the Board’s proposal to set the rates of levy; and

•considerations in proposing the levy rates.

Consultation began on 27 October 2016 and submissions close at 5:00pm Wednesday 30 November 2016.
